This month, I had the privilege of working with the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music (aka: BKCM), to help bring to life their latest fundraising event, House Party 2021. This year's House Party was a indoor-outdoor event with over ten stages, three bars and a VIP speakeasy.
The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music is a non-profit located in the heart of Park Slope Brooklyn, which aims to transform lives and build community through the expressive, educational and therapeutic powers of music. Funds raised at the House Party support BKCM’s community programs, which provide high-quality music education and music therapy to thousands of youth and adults across New York City.
Extra precautions were taken to ensure the safety of guests and staff, vaccinations were required, in addition to a negative COVID-19 test, offered by on-site rapid COVID-19 testing. While patrons waited for their test they could enjoy some light jazz music.
Guests were given the opportunity to walk the "pink" carpet and get their photo snapped on the step and repeat.
The Live Appeal was broadcast throughout the building via video from the main stage outdoors.
New York Party Works provided carnival tent with games and a strongman, where guests could measure their strength.
Stages inside the Conservatory included intimate vocals, Diwali celebrations and opera performance.
The main stage was full of energy from People's Champs - the evening's opening band. Mobile Stage Network provided the stage, offering same day set up and breakdown of the stage, lighting and power.
An enjoyable time was had by those kicking it on the dance floor. House Party is a time to celebrate music and those that are part of the BKCM mission.
A huge thank you to the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, and the entire events team for having me be part of the event. It was another great fundraiser for Good to Gather to be part of! Please, check out other fundraisers I've worked on.
Until Next Time,
Elise
